Beautiful trails, single and double track, winding themselves from one tiny hamlet to another, stepping back in time as we get to run down ancient chemins where you can imagine the horses and carts making their way to the local markets
This historic town is known as "The Venice of the Perigord" as the river Dronne encircles the town. With its impressive abbey, working water mill wheel and ancient stone bridge this is one town not to be missed.
You will get a chance to explore this historic town but not before our morning run past moulins, chateaux, caves and lavoirs.....

The Dordogne region of France is undulating with valleys, rivers, chateaux, caves, ancient woodland, truffle orchards, ancient chemins, single track paths, little used lanes, quaint tiny hamlets, beautiful villages and this region is known for is gastronomy !!

We will get to run through small villages, one of them voted the prettiest in France, quaint litte hamlets, past ancient caves, see the impressive Chateau of Monbazzillac, Excideuil, see plenty of moulins, wining tasting, visit Sorges renown for its Truffles, visit Lascaux.....
Now don't panic and think that is impossible. Our routes are adjustable according to your standard. Ideally you need to be able to comfortably run 10km to be able to come on one of our holidays. There will always be the possiblity to opt out of the afternoons run, but believe me you wont want to ! The kilometers literally wizz past when you have such stunning scenery to run past. Our holidays are not a race, its all about a comfortable pace.
This region of France is a gastronomic delight !! Whilst you are here you will quite simply run, eat, socialise and sleep. We provide all the food, local regional, seasonal cuisine. You will eat well, and surprisingly healthly, home baked cakes, picnic lunches, hearty dinners, this holiday is not just about running, it is about enjoying our local cuisine too.
